Printe QR codes directly from Pick and Pack

Hello,

It used to be able to print QR codes direktly from the old old program, but with the new Pick and Pack that option is no longer possible.

Would love to get that option back. Would make it so much more easier and faster when we sell new equipment.

Hi @ivar, do you remember where in Onix Tag (the old name) could you print QR codes?

Hello @phuong.duong,

Struggeling to remember the name of the old program, but it was before Onix tag.
It`s not been possible to scan RFID og print QR since the old program

Hi @ivar (cc @randi.egeland @kib )

Thank you for your suggestion. When introducing Onix Pick and Pack, we decided not to include the QR printing feature in the “Onix Pick List” app and plan to discontinue this feature in the future.

We found that many users lack access to high-quality printers capable of producing durable labels for equipment. Additionally, the process of printing and attaching labels can be time-consuming, especially when ensuring that each label matches the correct equipment.

Our recommendation is to use preprinted tags like Onix Tag or another method, where you first attach the label to the equipment and then connect the Tag ID with the equipment later. This approach is more efficient. Onix Pick and Pack also includes a feature that allows you to connect Onix Tag (Onix ID) or any new tag to the equipment before delivery. Were you aware of this option?

Could you please review this suggestion and share your feedback?

@ivar you can read more about this method that @vu.pham mentioned above in: Continuous scanning for Onix Pick and Pack
