Work with multiple organizations

The new account and user concept enable you to work with multiple organizations & multiple Onix Express with just one account. Therefore, you can switch between organizations to choose one to work for.

1. WHY IT HELPS

Before

  • One account is only allowed to access one organization.
  • One account can only be with one organization or multiple Express companies, but not both at the same time.
  • When they accept the invitation to access an organization, they lose all their access to their Express companies and vice versa.

After the new concept comes

  • One account can work with multiple organizations
  • That account can switch between organizations to choose one to work for
  • Each organization provides different privileges (permissions) to an account by using License and Role

2. SWITCH BETWEEN ORGANIZATIONS

  • When your account logged in to Onix Work and use it, it will show your home organization
    • What is a home organization? That is the organization that will be first-appeared every time you use Onix Work
  • You can switch the organization to work for by clicking the arrow icon next to your organization (top left corner - near the Onix Work logo)

image

  • A dialog will appear, and only organizations that you are invited to and became a user will be listed
  • Select the organization that you want to start your work with
  • You can search for an organization, faster selection of course.

3. SWITCH BETWEEN ONIX EXPRESS PORTALS OF ONE SUPPLIER

ONE supplier / inspector can let you access MULTIPLE Onix Express portals. Therefore, you can switch between those portals directly in the current Onix Express:

  • Click on your company’s name on the header.
  • Select the other Onix Express from the option list.

However, you CANNOT directly switch to a different organization’s Onix Express. Each organization has its unique Onix Express access link (URL), and you MUST use that URL to enter another organization’s Onix Express.

4. WHY DO YOU MEET THESE MESSAGES?

“You don’t have access to any organization.”

There’re 2 possible reasons for this message:

  • You have not become a user of any organization.
    • To be a user of any organization, your account must be granted access to that organization AND be assigned a license and a role.

WHAT TO DO: Contact the administrator of your organization and ask for a user

  • You already have a user account in an organization, but it’s set as “Contact only”.
    • Contact is an asset of an organization, which contains a person information including email, password, name, phone number, picture, signature, and many more
    • Contact is not a user, and not assigned to any license and role

WHAT TO DO: Contact the administrator of your organization and ask them to set you as an Active user instead of Contact

“You don’t have access to [Your company] from this app.”

There’re 2 possible reasons for this message:

  • Your account was listed in your organization, however, you have no license assigned

WHAT TO DO: Contact the administrator of your organization and ask them to assign you an license.

  • Your role doesn’t have the privilege to access Onix Work, for example Worker license
    • Privileges give users the permission to perform actions, read information, or see nothing at all on a specific module or function
    • Role is a group of defined privileges

WHAT TO DO: Contact the administrator of your organization and ask them to assign you another role which has the privilege to access Onix Work.
