Continuous scanning for Onix Tag

WHY CONTINUOUS SCANNING HELPS

OLD PROCESS

  • You have to go around to scan and EVERY TIME you have a failed scan, you have to go back to your computer and check what to do next with that failed scan.
  • This causes a big interruption and wastes your time going around scanning and checking for failed scans.

NOW

  • You can go around and scan for the equipment for your order, once you finish your scanning sessions, you can check for your failed scans then. You do not have to go back and forth anymore.
    • Streamlined process: Scan multiple items in one session without interruption.
    • Time-saving: No need to start and stop scanning multiple times for different batches.
    • Simplified workflow: Easily see and decide what to do next with your failed scans
    • Increased efficiency: Reduce the time and effort required for scanning

HOW TO SCAN EQUIPMENT TO YOUR ORDER

START YOUR SCAN

  • Open your Order then click on the Scan image button
  • A scanning panel will show up


THE SCANNING PANEL

  • You can click on the Order details tab to expand it
  • When you scan:
    • The number in the Picked section will have these corresponding colors:
      • Yellow: Picking, the order (or order line) is NOT fully picked yet
      • Green: The order (or order line) is FULL
    • Different SOUNDS will be played when you successfully picked equipment or you have a failed scan
    • Failed scans will be noted down in the Failed scans panel, so that you can decide what to do next with them

IMPORTANT: When you add equipment to a FULL ORDER, a notice will warn you about this .


THE FAILED SCANS PANEL

When you go to the Failed scans panel, you can decide what to do next with your failed scans

  • Click on the Failed scans sector to open the panel.

There are 2 tabs in this panel:

  • NEED ACTION: Failed scans that need you to take a look at and decide what to deal with it
  • NO ACTION NEEDED: You can ignore these failed scans


FAILED SCANS: NEED ACTION

IMPORTANT : You can only take action with your Need action failed scans when your ORDER is NOT FULL

There are many cases for your failed scans to go to the Need action tab.
You can tap on them and select the appropriate action for each:

  • Not matched with any order line: your equipment is registered in Onix Work already but its information is not matched with any order line in your order
    • You can select the order line for this failed scan
  • Lack of required information: your equipment has not been filled with enough mandatory information in the rules
    • With these kinds of failed scans, you will be REQUIRED to select the Order line and fill in all MUST-HAVE fields
  • Not found any equipment with this tag: the equipment is not registered in Onix Work
    • You can select the order line for this failed scan, this equipment will then be registered in Onix Work followed the product information of the order line



HOW TO SCAN EQUIPMENT TO YOUR ORDER LINE

  • Select your Order line then click on the Scan image button
  • A scanning panel will show up
  • The scanning process will be the same as scanning an Order

IMPORTANT : If you scan an equipment that has been picked to another order line, a Failed scan will show up in the No action needed tab to let you know that the tag is in another order line
